If you, or patients you work with have moderate to severe PTSD and might benefit from MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD, please consider volunteering for our study. See below for available locations. Volunteers must live within 1.5 hour drive from the study site.

Announcing the 2022 Training Schedule for the
MDMA Therapy Training Program

14 Week Virtual Training Program


Become a MAPS-Certified MDMA-Assisted Therapy Practitioner
The MDMA Therapy Training Program 100-hour course is a pre-requisite for MAPS certification.

The requirements to become a MAPS-Certified MDMA-Assisted Therapy Practitioner are:
  1. Completion of the MDMA Therapy Training Program course
  2. Experiential Elective
  3. Consultation and Clinical Experience: 40 hours of Clinical Experience providing MDMA-assisted therapy and 15 hours of Consultation

This 14-week online program includes:
  • Welcome Presentation (1.5 hours)
  • 3 Virtual Weekend Retreats (Saturday and Sunday, 5 hours each day)
  • Coursework, reading, and activities to complete before each retreat (60 hours)
  • 7 Small Group meetings for discussion and practice (1.5 hours each)
  • Experiential Elective, which may be satisfied by enrolling in the Breathwork Workshop or applying credit from an approved external elective (approx. 10 hours)

2022 Tuition: $5,000 USD

The tuition fee covers the cost of the 100-hour MDMA Therapy Training Program course, not including the experiential elective or consultation. Blended programs involve additional fees for lodging, meals, and meeting space.

Health Equity Scholarship


Thanks to the MAPS Health Equity Fund, the MDMA Therapy Training Program is honored to offer a limited amount of full and partial scholarships for tuition costs for 2021 trainings. The MAPS Health Equity Scholarship is currently accepting applications  from practitioners who identify as Black, Indigenous, and people of color.  Applicants who demonstrate financial need will be given priority in the scholarship selection process. The MAPS Health Equity Scholarship is part of MAPS and MAPS PBC’s larger commitment to increasing inclusion and equity in our programs and advancing the initiatives outlined by the MAPS Health Equity Fund.
