MDMA-Assisted Therapy for PTSD

Bessel van der Kolk MD, Principal Investigator at Boston MA Facility

News & Update

April 2021 -- In the next several weeks Nature Medicine will be publishing a paper about the outstanding results of our first Phase 3 study and the NYTimes will publish an article about our findings. Also, the NEJM will be publishing a paper from Robin Carhart-Harris/Imperial College about their study comparing psilocybin with an SSRI for depression, showing that psilocybin was more effective than an SSRI. These two papers from these two major medical journals and associated media coverage will build further support for psychedelic therapy research and eventual prescription availability.

May 2021 -- See publication mentioned above
#1. Trial of Psilocybin versus Escitalopram for Depression
#2. MDMA-assisted therapy for severe PTSD: a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 3 study
